Thoughts after the fair
Due to some technical problems, this post is a little late. (But thanks to the nice team at Squarespace, the problem got resolved pretty quickly.)
What I wanted to say is THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the fair to support local artists.
It was a really nice day but business was pretty slow-for everyone. My guess is that it was the first year that this fair took place and that coupled with a beautiful fall day the market stayed pretty empty. Of course it can feel a little disappointing after putting a lot of work into preparing for the event.
HOWEVER, I had my general manager with me, who brought me coffee and watched out for my table. And I also got to chat with a lot of nice vendors and artists.
Best of all? the Trading. I exchanged a few prints for this beautiful necklace. It is made by Leah Meleski, a talented jewelry artist. Please take a look at her website for her beautiful work.
I also got a funky birdhouse, some honeysticks and Yonas scored a shirt.
And of course it was lovely to see so many of my friends coming over to say hi. I sold prints and cards and one treasured original to a very nice family. So all in all- things went really well.
